Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project
A space for young creatives…
< Back to projects list
This innovative co-creation project gives aspiring artists access to the resources of five leading London galleries. It runs over three years from 2010, communicating the creative and social values of a leading luxury brand.
At the heart of the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project, we helped to devise and develop REcreative – an online studio to provide a stimulating space for a diverse range of young people to try out and share artistic ideas.
It also gives them access to a range of helpful resources and mentoring opportunities from major artists such as Tracey Emin and Gary Hume.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to find out more
about contemporary art and get involved.
It would have been amazing to have had this
chance when I was that age”
– Tracey Emin
Championed by Louis Vuitton and led by the South London Gallery, this high profile project was produced in partnership with five other key London venues: the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Academy, the Whitechapel Gallery, and Tate Britain.
The youth co-creation was facilitated by Twenty%Extra and the website was designed by Sift – accompanied by an all-day public launch event in the Covent Garden Piazza in June 2011.
