Festival VVVIP Party
For those who’ve really got what it takes…

This massively successful crowd-teasing event was designed to turn the tables on the audience, as they find themselves to be the performers.
We launched the legendary VVVIP Party onto the festival circuit in the summer of 2009. It was conceived by our performance associate Christopher Green in partnership with Festival Republic as a bold and daring mass experiment about the synthetic nature of celebrity culture and all its trappings.
A cast of performers, planted role players, DJs (including Goldierocks and Phil Jupitas) and sponsors Shockwaves and Brown Sugar) toured across Latitude, Leeds, Reading and the Electric Picnic festivals.
Attracting more than 6,000 party people, the events showed the extraordinary lengths people will take to to get into an ‘exclusive’ VIP party. But getting in was only the beginning of the adventure; once inside they were confronted with further echelons of VIP, VVIP and VVVIP areas to manoeuvre their way into…
“Thank you for your fabulous work,
all the parties worked wonderfully well”
